Someone once told me that they can tell how much I dislike someone by how polite I am face to face. If I’m ultra-polite and ultra-formal, every word perfect, not a single insult, cuss word, bit of slang or trace of sarcasm, complete with perfect manners? They know I hate that person and want them to die in a fire.

The more I like you, the more I insult you. It’s the same reason why I tell my friends about all of the horrifying things I come across.

So much! When I meet new people, and I like them, they are usually taken aback by all my insult. Soon enough they learn that’s how I show my affection.
